The Flagstaff Hill Golf Club welcomes Junior Members, and has an active program to encourage children to experience golf in a fun, friendly, inclusive and non-contact environment. We are proudly an official MyGolf center which means our junior programs are delivered by accrediated PGA of Australia Members and Golf Australia Community Instructors.

The club has developed a strong partnership with PGA Professional Nick McCormack, Sarah Douglass-Norris and member Jan Douglass to build junior golf within the club.
In 2017 at the South Australian Golf Industry Awards Night, Nick and Jan received an Award for Service to the South Australian Golfing Industry for their outstanding contribution to junior development. We are lucky to have them on board!
There are some great reasons why kids should get into golf.
Spending Time outdoors: Put away the tablets and gaming consoles - golf encourages healthy exercise habits. There is nothing better that getting out and walking in the fresh air. The golf course has an array of natural wildlife and it’s not uncommon to see a koala or kangaroo when you’re out on the fairways at Flagstaff Hill.
Everyone can play: People of all ages and from all walks of life can play golf. The diversity found in our club provides young people with a broader view of the world. Psst, the younger you start the better you’ll be!
Etiquette and values: The game of golf is extremely rich in tradition and teaches values like honesty and respect towards yourself, others and the environment. We take it seriously!
Business skills: In addition to etiquette and values, golf teaches kids to play with new people, develop self-confidence, improve their ability to work with numbers and apply problem solving skills. Golf attracts successful people; you never know who you may meet in our club! All great skills for the business world!
Emotional control: Just like life, there are ups and downs, achievements and disappointments. In order to get better, you have to overcome obstacles and learn from your mistakes.

School Sports Vouchers
Note: Flagstaff Hill Golf Club is registered to receive School Sports Vouchers. The program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation and Sport. The program provides an opportunity for primary school aged children from reception to Year 7 to receive up to a $100 discount per calendar year on sports membership/registration fees. The purpose is to increase the number of children playing organised sport by reducing cost as a barrier to participate in sport. To claim the discount simply visit http://www.sportsvouchers.sa.gov.au/, download and complete the voucher and bring it in to the club for processing. Only 1 voucher up to $100 can be used every year. The club recommends using the full $100 entitlement towards Junior Membership.
